Reservations are recommended, need to
be made at least one day in advance, and are nonrefundable.
Each participant is required to sign a liability waiver. Waivers must be signed and ready to turn in
at your arrival.
Trip 1 -
Upper Whitewater Trip
The Upper Trip starts with a shuttle from our livery (point 7 on map) at
Deer’s Mill Covered Bridge to Crawfordsville (point 1 on
map).
You’ll paddle between narrow channels, around large rocks, along
shale bluffs, past historical landmarks, and through Pine Hills Nature
Preserve. Pack a cooler for a
picnic, try your luck at fishing, hunt for fossils and Indian relics, or
see if you can catch a glimpse of a Bald Eagle.
After 15 miles this paddle ends at our livery (point 7 on map).
Depending on water level this trip typically takes *4-6 hours.

Trip 2
- Lower Scenic Trip
The Lower Trip starts at our livery
(point 7 on map) at Deer’s Mill Covered Bridge and meanders through
Shades State Park and Turkey Run State Park.
You’ll float through deep canyons, beneath historic covered
bridges, and maybe catch a glimpse of a Bald Eagle.
Islands and beaches offer serene spots for picnicking, and looking
for fossils and Indian relics. Winding
through the heart of Parke County Covered Bridge Country, this trip is, no
doubt, the most scenic in the Midwest.
After 15 miles the trip ends at Cox Ford Covered Bridge (point 11
on map).
Depending on water level this trip typically takes *4-6
hours.
*DEPARTURE TIMES: 8:00, 8:30, 9:00, 9:30, 10:00, 10:30, 11:00 AM daily.
Must register 30 minutes prior to
departure time, except for the 8:00 AM departure.
Trip 3A
- Overnight 30-Mile Trip
This trip incorporates Trips 1 and 2 into a two-day, two-night camping
excursion. It is a 30-mile
journey through the pristine wilderness corridor of Sugar Creek.
Our campground, the Canyon, is located at the halfway point across
the creek from our livery at Deer’s Mill Covered Bridge.
(Trip rate does not include camping fee.)

Trip 3B
- Overnight 20-Mile Trip
This trip incorporates Trips 4 and 2 into a two-day, two-night camping
excursion. It is a 20-mile
journey through the pristine wilderness corridor of Sugar Creek.

the creek from our livery at Deer’s Mill Covered Bridge.

Trip 4
- Mini Trip
The Mini Trip starts with a short shuttle from our livery (point 7 on map)
at Deer’s Mill Covered Bridge to Jim Davis Bridge (point 6 on map).
Ideal for families with small children or those who do not want an
all day paddle, this leisure trip captures the scenery and
wildlife of Pine Hills Nature Preserve.
Enjoy time for a picnic, fossil and Indian relic hunting, or
fishing as you make your way down this stretch, ending at our
livery (point 7 on map).
Depending on water level this trip typically takes *3 hours, but we give
you the whole day so you can set your own pace.

Trip 5 -
Tube Trip
Enjoy a lazy day tubing while experiencing the same stretch of Sugar Creek
as the Mini Trip. Great for
kids and adults who like to kick back and relax. Ideal for hot summer days, this is fun-in-the-sun! This float
typically takes *5 hours, and there is no age limit, but only one person per tube.
*DEPARTURE TIMES:
9:00, 10:00, 11:00 AM, and 12:00 PM daily. Available Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.

departure time.
